Maize processing
The maize market
The most widely grown cereal in the world, maize is a volatile market that direct contact with growers lets us follow day by day.
Worldwide
The most widely grown cereal on the planet
At more than 1,200 million tonnes produced each year, maize comes ahead of wheat and rice, whose volumes each hover around 700 million tonnes.
In West Africa, maize holds a central place in both food and industry : it feeds breweries, biscuit makers, livestock feed manufacturers and staple food processing. Regional demand is rising with urbanisation and the growth of the food industry.
Our growing area
As close as possible to the fields
The soil and climate of our region (soil quality, rainy-season precipitation) allow growers to achieve good yields. Our collection areas lie within 15 to 80 kilometres of the plant: that much less distance between field, silo and mill, and steadier deliveries.
Our collection areas
- Bougouni
- Sikasso
- Yanfolila
- Kolondiéba
- Koumantou
- Niéna

Price
A volatile market, followed day by day
The maize market is highly volatile. Our commercial position, in direct contact with the growers themselves, lets us follow that market day by day and pass on price movements as quickly and as fairly as possible.
That closeness works both ways : it secures the grower's supply of inputs and advice, and it gives our industrial customers visibility on the raw material.
